he has held positions as an estimator, project manager and administrator gaining the background and experience necessary to found his own
construction company.
Mr. Mascaro is president and chief executive officer of Mascaro Construction Company, L.P., a multi-faceted regional general contracting, construction
management and design / build firm. Mr. Mascaro founded the firm in 1988, and under his direction it has grown to be one of Western Pennsylvania's
largest contracting firms. The firm is currently ranked number 330 on Engineering News Record's list of Top 400 Contractors and number 88 on Engineering
News Record's list of the Top 100 Design / Build firms. Under his guidance, the firm has constructed such notable projects as Heinz Field, the renovation of

unprecedented seven-year labor agreement with the Carpenters, Laborers, Cement Masons and Operating Engineers. He is also a member of the Executive
Board of the Builders Guild, a construction industry initiative representing 32 building trades unions and 17 affiliated contractor associations and employer

Year Award for Construction Services.
On November 23, 2002, Jack Mascaro received the 2002 National Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Real Estate/Construction category.
It was the first time in the 15-year history of the Entrepreneur of the Year awards program that a Western Pennsylvania nominee received this national
recognition. "Jack Mascaro is the definition of a self-starter," said Gregory K. Ericksen, Global Director of Entrepreneur of the Year for Ernst & Young. "He has
achieved remarkable entrepreneurial success through dedication and hard work, and we're pleased to recognize him for his accomplishments."
Mr. Mascaro was instrumental in establishing the Construction Management program in the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering's Department of
Civil and Environmental Engineering. He led the initial fundraising for this program and has assisted the University in their continuing efforts. He was named
the School's Distinguished Alumnus, Civil & Environmental Engineering in 1995. In recognition of the many contributions he has made to the engineering field,
the University of Pittsburgh has included him in their Engineering Hall of Fame. He is chairman of the University of Pittsburgh Construction Management Program
and chairs the Construction Management Industry Advisory Committee for Green Construction. He has also established a scholarship in the Construction
Management Program in the University of Pittsburgh's School of Engineering in honor of his father, Peter J. Mascaro.
When Mr. Mascaro learned of the University of Pittsburgh's desire to build a green classroom, he saw this as an opportunity to give something back to his
University. The John C. Mascaro Learning Center, located in Benedum Hall at the University of Pittsburgh, was dedicated in September 2000. This high-tech
classroom, which accommodates 60 students comfortably, incorporates state-of-the-art equipment for an interactive learning environment. The center was
designed as a "green" facility and was constructed using the principles of sustainable development. More than 90% of the costs to renovate this classroom were
raised and donated by Mascaro.
Mr. Mascaro and wife Darlene reside in Pittsburgh with their three sons and four grandchildren. Sons John Jr., Jeffrey and Michael are all involved in the day
to day operations of Mascaro Construction Company, L.P.
