UPMC Bethel Medical Center
Three different medical organizations share most of this 90,000-square-foot facility, which includes surgical, radiation/oncology and physical therapy areas, and a three-story
atrium. The construction team completed the $14.9 million project through effective teamwork or pre-construction and construction services, such as estimating, value
engineering, constructability reviews, pre-purchase of long lead times, pre-qualification of subcontractors, bid pachaging and final pricing.
West Penn Hospital: The Institute - Clinic and O.R. 14
To lauch the Institute for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery, demolition and renovation of 4,000 sqare feet of the hospital's second floor was needed to provide space
for the Institute. But halfway into the project, hospital officials asked for Operating Room 14 to be rnovated so that it could house the Institute's specialized equipment. Up to
30 craftsmen worked weekdays, weeknights and weekends to accomplish the job within the seven-week deadline, and did so without disrupting hospital functions.

Allegheny General Hospital Cancer Center
This project converted a five-story long-term-care facility into an 89,000-square-foot state-of-the-art cancer treatment center. Construction required the demolition of four
floors to accommodate a new layout complete with a new entry, circular corridors, a central two-story atrium, multi-sized exam and treatment areas, a 28-seat cafe, a gift
shop, a library, a chapel/meditation room and a new bridge to the parking garage. Because of the excellence in project teamwork - and weekly project meetings - construction
of this new cancer center was completed in just nine months.
