Internet Privacy Policy:
The Builders Guild of Western PA, Inc. (a.k.a. The Builders Guild) is a non-profit., public relations and marketing arm of the region’s building trades unions and their affiliated contractor associations. The purpose of the web site is to provide building and construction related information and resources. We understand and respect the users’ concerns about individual internet security and privacy of individual information.

NOTICE:
The Builders Guild currently tracks the domains from which a user visits the website. This information is utilized to analyze viewing interests, volume and trends for marketing and communications purposes and, to enhance and improve our services/resources. The Builders Guild website contains links to other websites, one or more of which are owned or controlled by The Builders Guild sponsors, affiliates or unrelated third parties. The Builders Guild of Western PA, Inc. is not responsible for content, privacy policies and practices of any linked website(s).

NOTIFICATION:
The “Opt-In” option allows a user to sign in and receive site notifications, newsletters or other information. A user may remove himself/herself from such services at any time for any reason. The Builders Guild of Western PA, Inc. may use personal information provided by, or obtained from, such users to contact site visitors/users on an individual basis.

DISCLOSURE:
General: In cases where a user voluntarily and publicly disclose personal information as part of his/her use of The Builders Guild website, the Builders Guild of Western PA, Inc. may only share such personal information with its sponsors and affiliates, at the direction and/or request of the user providing such information to the website.

At not time, unless such disclosure is required by law or a user specifically authorizes such disclosure, will the Builders Guild of Western PA, Inc. disclose individual user personal information that is not publicly available.

SURVEYS:
The Builders Guild of Western PA, Inc. may conduct surveys or other studies of its customer base and usage for marketing and planning purposes. Participation in any such survey is at the user’s option and discretion. The Builders Guild does not conduct mandatory surveys.

With respect to information that may be collected from such surveys or studies, and in the event that responses are to be publicly disclosed, users will be notified at the time they take the survey and The Builders Guild of Western PA, Inc. will disclose only aggregate information regarding its users and not personal information identifying any specific user. Circumstances under which the Builders Guild would publicly disclose such aggregate information include, but are not limited to, sharing survey results with sponsors, members and affiliates of The Builders Guild on user preferences, demographics and publicizing overall usage data in press or internal communications.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, in cases where surveys allow users to submit written comments and where the Builders Guild advises users of the possibility of such disclosure at the time they take the survey, The Builders Guild reserves the right to disclose text information provided by any user through such a survey, provided that no personal information identifying the user is disclosed.
