UNIONS AND CONTRACTORS HELPS
MAKE PITTSBURGH SPECIAL
Every city or community across the country has something to boast
about, whether it’s the climate, a sports team, the topography, or some
historical significance or architectural marvel. Cities are often defined
by some outstanding or defining feature.
For Pittsburgh, it could be the confluence of the Allegheny,
Monongahela and Ohio Rivers, its historical past with the French and
Indian War, the Pittsburgh Steelers dynasty, or its proud steel heritage.
But for many Pittsburghers,what sets this area apart from the rest of the
nation isn't that's tangible, rather it's the character of the
people, the generosity that is exhibited everyday by some group or
organization that volunteers its time and services to helping others.
No where is that spirit more evident than in the men and women who
comprise the local union building trade and construction industry.
Each year, hundreds upon hundreds of union trade workers
and contractors donate their time, money and expertise to helping
build, repair or renovate homes and community facilities throughout
